Tuff Shed is recruiting for an experienced and highly motivated Superintendent to contribute to the success of our Kansas City Factory Store. This position offers the opportunity to make a real impact to the Store and the Company.

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO BE A SUCCESSFUL TUFF SHED SUPERINTENDENT?

We're seeking a driven and experienced Superintendent who can help lead our local Installer program, ensuring the store meets all of its metrics for scheduling, costs and quality.

  • Attracts, selects , and on-boards new subcontractors, in partnership with Tuff Shed’s Skilled Trades Recruiter

  • Manages all subcontractor certification and ongoing partner management, including Customer First training and subcontractor certification

  • Resolves issues and concerns between the customer, Store, and subcontractor crews

  • Supervises and assures quality of all kits prior to loading, including review of kit paperwork packets, also, responsible for supervising the unloading

  • Inspects building sites and provides feedback to subcontractors and Store management on job performance, punctuality, safety, Tuff Shed construction standards, and to ensure that all company customer programs have been executed; visits include on-site, concrete checks, new construction, and/or post-build

  • Conducts site visits to include meeting with customers to review customer experiences and review the any issues that may hinder complete customer satisfaction

  • Ensures any materials missing from kits are delivered to the customer site in a timely manner

  • Ensures all contractors scheduled to work on Home Depot builds are fully compliant to Tuff Shed standards, including holding active HD badges

  • Ensures subcontractors remain compliant with licenses, insurance, badging, and contracts, as required

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Hands-on experience working in a fast-paced, high volume retail or operations environment with an organization recognized for quality products and service
  • Minimum of two years of construction or manufacturing experience
  • Proven experience managing multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines.
  • Experience in safety management, working with employees and subcontractors/third-party vendors
  • Hands-on computer skills in Microsoft Office and Internet applications required; experience in utilizing Customer Relations Management (CRM) software – including Oracle, JDE, Onyx, Salesforce.com, Goldmine or similar systems is highly preferred

  • Must have valid driver’s license and acceptable MVR

  • Must be able to successfully complete Tuff Shed fork lift certification

  • DOT, OSHA, and employment law knowledge preferred
