Senior Transmission Line Design Engineer

Insight Global is looking for a Sr. Transmission Line Design Engineer to support one of our largest energy and utility clients in southern Indiana. This person will be well-versed in design procedures for greenfield and brownfield transmission line projects that are high voltage (over 50Kv). This person will be making models for transmission lines, doing full lifecycle design including building work packages, producing drawing packages, material lists, working with vendors and even doing the detailing on designs. This person will also be expected to go out into the field when needed to assess current project situations and answering questions on replacements for field repairs. This person will also be interfacing with the reliability and asset management group quite frequently to coordinate field support and assess active projects.

Skills and Requirements

- 6+ years of Transmission Line Design Engineering experience

- Bachelor's in engineering or engineering technology

- Capable of doing full life cycle of design work, down to the detailing and work packages creation - PLS-CAD experience

- AutoCAD Experience

- P.E. null
