AandJ's Construction, LLC, 708 2nd Ave. SE, Cresco, IA, is seeking 7 temporary full-time snow removal laborers to work at 708 2^nd^ Avenue SE, Cresco, IA 52136 and in the counties of Winneshiek and Howard from 10/01/2025 to 04/02/2026 for $16.84/hour. Applicants may be offered higher than the advertised wage rate due to experience or merit. Duties include: shovel and plow snow from walks, driveways and parking lots and spread salt in those areas. Perform grounds maintenance and other duties as assigned related to facilities and roads maintenance. Potential for spring clean up. Use hand tools such as shovels and brooms. Operate vehicles or powered equipment such as a snow blower. Must be able to carry 50 lbs. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, administered to both U.S. and H-2B workers. Saturday and Sunday work required, when necessary. Work hours may include nights and overtime during emergencies and winter storm conditions. Must be able to perform manual physical labor outside during all weather conditions. No prior education or experience required. On-the-job training will be provided to the worker.

Daily transportation to and from the worksite will be provided. Approximately 35 hours/week, Monday-Friday, some weekend work, 8:00AM-5:00PM (varies day to day and by weather). May be offered overtime when weather conditions allow. Overtime rate is $25.26. The employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages and pay weekly by check. The employer will make all deductions from the workers paycheck as required by law. Any advances will be deducted with the consent of the employee. The employer will assist workers in finding housing. The worker will be reimbursed for transportation and subsistence from the place from which the worker has come to work for the employer, whether in the U.S. or abroad, to the place of employment, in the first workweek at a rate of a minimum of $16.28 per day to a maximum of $68.00 per day with documentation of actual expenses. The employer will provide or pay for the workers cost of return transportation and daily subsistence from the place of employment to the place from which the worker, disregarding intervening employment, departed to work for the employer, if the worker completes the certified period of employment or is dismissed before 04/02/2026. The employer will provide daily transportation to and from the worksite. The employer will reimburse the worker in the first work week for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by the H-2B worker (but need not include passport expenses or other charges primarily for the benefit of the worker). The employer will provide to the worker, without charge or deposit charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the duties assigned.
