Entry-Level Welder
Job Overview Delta Scientific is seeking an Entry-Level Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of welding techniques and safety standards, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal structures, ensuring high-quality standards are met while adhering to safety regulations.
Responsibilities
Perform welding operations using various techniques including MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications.
Assemble components by welding, soldering, or using other fastening methods.
Operate power tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with codes and standards.
Utilize basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to welding tasks.
Thread pipes as required for specific projects.
Rig materials for lifting and transport as necessary.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Welder or in a similar role is preferred.
Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics is essential.
Familiarity with welding codes and standards is highly desirable.
Ability to operate forklifts and other machinery safely.
Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
Knowledge of pipe threading techniques is a plus.
Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on quality workmanship.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Commitment to following safety guidelines at all times.
Work Environment:
Works in a shop setting.
Exposure to high temperatures, fumes, and noise.
Requires use of personal protective equipment, such as gloves, helmets, goggles, and respirators.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Welding or fabrication training through technical schools, apprenticeships, or on-the-job experience.
Certification in welding processes is an advantage.
Pay: $16.50 - $18.00/Hr., DOE
