Experienced Sign Shop Fabricator

Forge Signworks located in Farmingdale, New Jersey, is a full-service custom sign company for over 85 years. Forge provides custom signage/graphics to casino and retail facilities throughout the United States.

Position: Full Time Monday Friday, 7am 3:30pm / Overtime as required

Skills required:

*8-10 Years minimum experience.
* MIG Welding*ARC Welding* Grinding* Sanding* Drilling and Tapping
* Cutting with a table saw* Cutting with a Shear* Bending with a CNC press brake
* Reading Blueprints* Experience with installation and carpentry a PLUS.
* Thinking on your feet to solve problems and optimize product design for production and installation.

Job duties include but not limited to:
Fabricated and weld sign cabinets in aluminum or steel; wire electrical lighting within signs.
Ability to read shop drawings and apply this knowledge to build the sign.
oUnderstand how to cut materials and demonstrate sound practices in the overall building of the signs.
Operate shears, brake, radial arm saw, torches and a variety of hand tools.
Work in a Team Environment.
Quickly troubleshoot issues on-the-spot as they arise.
Consistently demonstrate sound safety practices, as well as the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Effectively manage time to ensure on-time delivery of every project.

Requirements to perform this job:
Must possess a valid drivers license in the state of NJ with clean driving record.
Have your own transportation.
Self-motivated/ Team Driven with the ability to manage time to get the work done.
Ability to:
oLift up to 40-50 lbs.
oClimb ladders to take measurements.
oStand on your feet for 8 hours.
oMust have a math aptitude to calculate square footage and other sign measurements and be able to read a tape measure.
