Job Title: Construction Inspector
Job Description
This is an on-call position focused on water line projects, including replacements and new installations for housing developments. Projects are planned in collaboration with the city, with upcoming assignments anticipated for 5-6 weeks in Medina starting in August, followed by another 6-week project in September/October. Additional projects will be communicated as they are confirmed.
Responsibilities
- Create daily logs for construction progress and inspections.
- Utilize online software for workload management.
- Coordinate and collaborate with city engineers, planners, and general contractors.
- Read and interpret engineering documents accurately.
Essential Skills
- Experience in construction inspection and waterline inspection.
- Knowledge of pumping stations, water treatment, and wastewater management.
- Fieldwork experience in water resources and wastewater projects.
- At least 1 year of overseeing waterline replacements or pump stations.
- Valid driver's license.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in water resources or wastewater inspection is a plus.
Work Environment
This role involves working on behalf of a City, focusing on new housing developments and roadway water lines. The position offers a flexible schedule and requires the ability to work in various field conditions.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
