Project Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Engineering Project Manager to lead and oversee capital projects within a manufacturing facility. This role involves managing the procurement and installation of key infrastructure components such as insulators, piping, boilers, and electrical systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background and a proven ability to manage contractors, timelines, and technical scopes of work in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and manage capital projects from initiation through completion.
• Oversee the purchasing and installation of mechanical and electrical systems including insulators, piping, boilers, and related infrastructure.
• Interpret and execute project scopes of work, ensuring all engineering tasks are clearly defined and completed accurately.
• Manage external contractors and vendors, ensuring work is performed to specification, on schedule, and within budget.
• Monitor project progress, resolve issues, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, engineering codes, and company policies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including maintenance, operations, and procurement.

• Engineering degree is required.
• 5-10+ years of experience in a related field.
• PMP certification is a plus.

The work environment includes a Monday to Friday schedule, with first shift hours. The position is based in a chemical manufacturing facility, providing an opportunity to work on large capital projects for a well-known company in the central Kentucky area.

The pay range for this position is $52.88 - $60.10/hr.
