Work schedule(s): Monday - Friday, 7:30A - 4:00P
DESCRIPTIONThe Maintenance Painter - Student Housing Turns is responsible for preparing and painting interior apartment spaces during student move-out and turnover periods. This role ensures that student apartments are restored to a clean, welcoming, and standardized appearance prior to new resident move-ins. The work is deadline-driven and performed in collaboration with other maintenance and custodial staff.
Key Responsibilities: - Paint interior walls, ceilings, doors, trim, and other surfaces in vacated student apartments during unit turns.
Perform surface preparation including patching holes, sanding, caulking, priming, and cleaning surfaces to ensure proper adhesion and a smooth finish.
Match paint colors and finishes to existing standards, using proper application techniques (brush, roller, or sprayer as needed).
Maintain clean, safe, and organized workspaces and protect surrounding surfaces from paint splatter or damage.
Report any observed maintenance issues (e.g., water damage, mold, or structural concerns) to the supervisor for additional repair or inspection.
Maintain accurate records of units painted and materials used.
Ensure compliance with university painting standards, health and safety protocols, and environmental regulations.
Coordinate with maintenance and custodial teams to ensure unit turns are completed on schedule.
Properly store and dispose of paint and related materials per university and EPA guidelines.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 1 year of professional painting experience (residential, commercial, or facilities maintenance).
Knowledge of painting tools, materials, and techniques.
Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for long periods, climbing ladders, and working in tight spaces.
Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Ability to follow schedules, prioritize tasks, and work independently or as part of a team.
Universal Background Check and Reference clearances are required prior to hiring.

Annual Full Pay Range: $94,336 - $94,336 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
