Job Description
The Pipefitter will be responsible for assembling, installing, and replacing pipe systems and related components, which may include metal, plastic, ceramic, and composite materials. The role also involves installing plumbing fixtures and ensuring the effective conduct of water, steam, air, and other fluids, solids, or gases in and around buildings and structures.
Responsibilities
Assemble and install piping and tubing systems for water, steam, air, and other fluids.
Install vacuum piping systems, drainage, and sewage lines from buildings to attachment points.
Handle and move materials and equipment for plumbers, pipefitters, and steamfitters.
Demonstrate old pump stations and build new stations with oversight from assistant super.
Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
Essential Skills
3-5 years of verifiable experience in pipe systems and fixtures.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in adverse weather conditions.
Good manual dexterity and ability to stand, bend, kneel, or sit for long periods.
Strong work ethic and desire to learn.
Effective communication with co-workers and supervisors.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with different types of piping including ductile iron, horizontal pumps, steel, and PVC pipe.
Experience working in oilfield or natural gas stations, installing and fitting various pipes.
Ability to throw control points on the ground and provide elevations.
