We are seeking a Senior AutoSys Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise-wide job scheduling solutions. This role requires deep technical expertise in AutoSys, strong scripting and automation skills, and the ability to collaborate across infrastructure, development, and business teams. The ideal candidate will drive operational excellence, ensure system resiliency, and contribute to strategic automation initiatives.
**Key Responsibilities:**
**AutoSys Engineering & Automation**
+ Architect, develop, and maintain complex job scheduling workflows using AutoSys
+ Lead the creation and optimization of JIL scripts, job dependencies, calendars, and event triggers
+ Manage AutoSys software installation, upgrades, and performance tuning
+ Develop and enforce standards for job naming, logging, and error handling
**System Administration & Integration**
+ Configure and maintain AutoSys servers, agents, and security profiles
+ Implement role-based access control (RBAC) and manage job-level permissions
+ Integrate AutoSys with enterprise tools including Jenkins, Harness, Ansible, and Kubernetes
+ Support AutoSys deployments in hybrid and multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
**Monitoring, Troubleshooting & Support**
+ Proactively monitor job execution and system health using tools like AppDynamics, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, and AIOps platforms
+ Lead incident response and root cause analysis (RCA) for job failures and system issues
+ Provide Tier 3 support and mentor junior engineers on best practices and troubleshooting techniques
**Technical Expertise**
+ Advanced scripting skills in Bash, Korn, Python, or PowerShell
+ Strong SQL skills for querying job metadata and managing dependencies
+ Deep understanding of Linux/Unix and Windows environments
+ Familiarity with networking protocols (FTP/SFTP, NFS) used in job workflows
**Governance & Compliance**
+ Ensure compliance with ITIL processes including Change, Incident, and Problem Management
+ Maintain documentation for job configurations, runbooks, and audit reports
+ Drive initiatives to improve system resiliency, availability, and compliance with enterprise standards
**Leadership & Collaboration**
+ Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for AutoSys and job automation
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align job scheduling with business and application needs
+ Lead automation initiatives and contribute to strategic planning for workload automation
**Required Qualifications:**
+ 4+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
+ 4+ years of hands-on experience with AutoSys Workload Automation, including administration and engineering.
**Desired Qualifications:**
+ 2+ years of cloud-based architecture and development experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
+ 2+ years of experience with Agile development methodologies and ceremonies.
+ Strong scripting skills (Bash, Korn, Python, PowerShell) and SQL proficiency.
+ Experience integrating AutoSys with DevOps tools (Jenkins, Harness, Ansible, Kubernetes).
+ Familiarity with monitoring tools such as AppDynamics, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, and AIOps platforms.
+ Excellent communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
