Hem Saw Operator**
**Job Description**
As a Hem Saw Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining HEM saws in a fabrication shop. Your role includes converting decimals into fractions, locating measurements on tape measures, and ensuring accuracy and traceability while running two saws simultaneously. You will also need to move round bars throughout the warehouse using a forklift, and lift or move items up to 50 pounds as required.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate and maintain HEM saws efficiently and accurately.
+ Convert decimals into fractions and locate measurements on tape measures.
+ Run two saws simultaneously while ensuring precision and traceability.
+ Move round bars throughout the warehouse using a forklift.
+ Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds as needed.
+ Set up and inspect equipment prior to use.
+ Fill out necessary paperwork and label materials to be returned to stock correctly.
+ Recognize materials by size and shape, and cut them to the correct length per customer specifications.
+ Read and understand blueprints and perform basic math calculations using architectural units (Feet, Inches).
**Essential Skills**
+ One or more years of experience using a HEM saw in a fabrication shop.
+ Excellent communication skills and ability to interact well with others.
+ Forklift experience.
+ Ability to read and understand blueprints and tape measures.
+ Basic math calculations using architectural units (Feet, Inches).
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience with saw operation, production, deburring, blueprint reading, drill press, bandsaw, assembly, sheet metal, CNC, press brake, and industrial machine operation.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
