Forklift Operator/Laborer**

**Job Description**

We are seeking a dedicated Forklift Operator/Laborer to join our team. This position involves managing inventory, operating heavy equipment, and ensuring safety in all activities. The role requires travel between locations and a commitment to zero harm practices.

**Responsibilities**

+ Issue materials under proper authorization and maintain records.

+ Check received materials for quantity and condition, and process related records.

+ Report irregularities and abnormal conditions.

+ Identify, sort, and record returned materials, and manage inventory stock and scrap containers.

+ Operate computer terminals and office equipment supporting materials management.

+ Prepare and pack materials for shipment or storage, including handling hazardous materials.

+ Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and cranes.

+ Assist in maintaining efficient storage of materials and perform inventory cycle counts.

+ Perform duties in accordance with company safety rules and regulations.

**Essential Skills**

+ High School Diploma or GED

+ Minimum of one year experience in inventory control, material handling, or warehousing.

+ Basic computer skills including experience with Microsoft Excel and Word.

+ Ability to safely lift up to 70 pounds.

+ Valid Driver's License and capability to obtain CDL within six months if required.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ Forklift experience is a plus.

+ Material handling experience is advantageous.

+ Light knowledge of MS Office Suite.

+ Background in construction and energy is beneficial.

**Work Environment**

The role involves working in a yard to load and unload trucks, primarily outdoors. You will work independently and as part of a small team, with standard hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Expect exposure to various weather conditions, with necessary PPE including steel toe boots provided.

**Job Type & Location**

This is a Contract position based out of Nitro, West Virginia.

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
