Job Description:

Lay out, fit and weld fabricated, cast and forged components to assemble structural forms, such as tanks, pressure vessels, furnace shells, pipe and building and bridge parts using gas and/or electric welding equipment as specified by layout.

General Requirements:

• Code ASME B31.1 and ASME BPVC Section IX. Cert Test required prior to employment.
• PAUT, X-Ray, on all joints.
• Read drawings, understand dimensions, layout pipe, fit pipe, weld pipe and clean.
• Singal with HEOs, work with helpers, follow superintendent's instruction.
• Capable of other welding processes (GTAW) and installing other pipe material (Ductile and HDPE).
• Read and interpret drawings to understand the requirements of the job.
• Be willing to help with non-welding tasks with shovels, cleanup, etc.
• Opportunity for additional work following project.

Functional Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Combo Welder.
• Proficient in various welding techniques, including TIG, MIG, and Stick.
• Strong knowledge of industrial welding safety guidelines and procedures.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail with a focus on producing high-quality work.
• Must be available for a project duration of approximately 3 weeks.

Qualifications:

• Pass welding tests (e.g. AWS, ASME, API) at certified facility
• Successfully pass a background check, drug screen, and physical
• Able to climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding, stairways
• Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or work at elevated heights as well as in confined spaces (towers, vessels, excavations, etc.).
• Able to carry 50 lbs. of tool and/or materials. It is recommended to get assistance to lift items
• Ability to perform physical tasks associated with welding (e.g. lifting, bending, standing for long periods)
