THE POSITION

The Pennsylvania Department of Corrections is seeking a motivated and dependable Corrections Water Treatment Plant Foreman at State Correctional Institution (SCI) at Camp Hill. In this role, you will support the operation of our water treatment plant. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Corrections Water Treatment Plant Foreman, you will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and repairing pumps, valves, chlorinators, chemical feeders, compressors, laboratory equipment, and computer monitoring systems to effectively support the ongoing operation of a 1.2-million-gallon capacity water treatment plant. This will include performing daily laboratory testing and equipment calibration that is required to meet Department of Environmental Protection regulations. You can expect to provide proper daily chemical dosage to maintain normal plant operations. Some of your duties will include monitoring and interpreting visual and aural gauges, meters, and sensing devices, then taking necessary corrective action measures when needed. In this position, you will oversee inmate workers in the performance of janitorial and maintenance work when they are assigned to the water treatment plant. Additionally, you will ensure tool and chemical supply inventory records are maintained in accordance with applicable regulations and policies.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
+ Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
+ Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Wednesday - Sunday.
+ Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
+ Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $47,925.00 (before taxes). However, a higher salary may be established in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
+ One year of experience in the operation and maintenance of a water treatment plant.
Special Requirements:
+ You must possess a valid certificate issued by the Pennsylvania State Board for Certification of Water and Wastewater Systems Operators as a water treatment plant operator that is equal to or higher than a Class C with subclasses 1, 7, 8, and 11.
+ You must possess a valid Class E certificate issued by the Pennsylvania State Board for Certification of Water and Wastewater Systems Operators.
+ You must possess a valid Pennsylvania non-commercial Class C drivers license or equivalent.
Additional Requirements:
+ Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
+ You must be able to perform essential job functions.

+ You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
