The Multi Domain Solutions Division at Leidos is looking for a Journeyman Project Manager to support a fast-paced Special Access Program for our Air Force customer. This role involves planning, logistics, acquisition, scheduling, and execution oversight for the multi-year buildout of Information Technology systems in customer facilities eventually supporting thousands of end users. The Project Manager will ensure alignment with program objectives and requirements and serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, including Air Force personnel, subcontractors, other contractors, and internal teams. The Project Manager will also be responsible for the development and maintenance of program documentation to support ISO and other program certifications. In addition, this position will be the supervisor for the deployment and logistics team of the program, eventually growing up to 6-8 team members. This role serves as a fantastic opportunity for a transitioning veteran or an aspiring program manager to apply their skills in a complex, large scale program.
This position is performed 100% on-site in our Lorton, VA facility, with no remote work considered. This position will have significant (+50%) travel requirements during key execution periods but will otherwise require infrequent travel.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop, manage, and maintain detailed project schedules, ensuring alignment with program milestones, resource availability, and stakeholder dependencies; proactively identify and resolve scheduling conflicts
- Plan and oversee the acquisition, logistics, scheduling, and execution of the multi-year buildout of Information Technology systems in government facilities.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, including Government personnel, subcontractors, and internal teams for the buildout activities.
- Develop and maintain program documentation to support ISO and other program certifications
- Develop and execute program strategies to enhance service delivery and meet evolving customer needs.
- Identify opportunities for innovation and process improvements within the requirements outlined in the contract.
- Identify potential risks to program success and develop mitigation strategies.
- Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Monitor project budgets, ensuring financial accountability and adherence to funding guidelines.
- Allocate resources effectively to meet project milestones and deliverables.
- Ensure adherence to DoD and Air Force policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage organizational compliance with Leidos policies and procedures.
- Prepare and present regular project status reports to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Manage and lead a team of 6-8 engineers and logisticians on the program

Basic Qualifications:
- US Citizen with at least a Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain an SCI prior to your start date.
- Bachelors Degree with 5+ years of experience or Masters degree with 3+ years of experience. Additional experience maybe considered in lieu of a degree.
- Demonstrated experience creating and managing complex project schedules using tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Primavera, or equivalent, with a proven ability to maintain schedule integrity across multi-phase, multi-stakeholder programs.
- Experience managing and leading teams to achieve program objectives while maintaining cost, schedule, and quality.
- Experience managing budgets of over $1,000,000
- Understanding of IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar certification (i.e. DAWIA).
- Experience with construction projects
- Experience coordinating with facilities engineering teams or managing IT infrastructure integration into secure government facilities.
- Experience managing or supporting Special Access Programs (SAPs), including understanding of security protocols and classified handling procedures
- Familiarity with DoD IT systems and infrastructure (e.g., DISA-approved solutions, RMF, zero trust, classified enclaves)
- Familiarity with DoD regulations, processes, and systems.
- Experience in managing budgets and resources in a government contracting environment.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a cross-functional team setting.

Pay Range: Pay Range $104,650.00 - $189,175.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
