As an Electro-Mechanical Technician, youll play a critical role in supporting our production operations, maintaining a wide range of equipment from electrical and servo systems to pneumatic, hydraulic, and PC-based systems. Your expertise will directly impact plant efficiency and safety, while keeping our equipment and facilities in top condition.
What Youll Do? Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Preventative Maintenance: Keep equipment operating smoothly with scheduled inspections and proactive maintenance.
- Troubleshooting & Repairs: Rapidly diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair issues to reduce downtime and keep production moving.
- Equipment Installation: Install new production equipment, including electrical systems: running conduit, pulling cables and wires, installing motors, drives, and controls.
- PLC Programming & Troubleshooting: Fine-tune equipment performance by programming and troubleshooting PLCs.
- Facility & Lighting Maintenance: Replace and install lighting, provide office support, and maintain general building infrastructure (snow removal, painting, etc.).
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to identify and resolve equipment issues.
- Other Duties: Support additional maintenance projects and initiatives as assigned.
What Were Looking For
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex systems, strong manual dexterity, and comfort reading electrical schematics and mechanical blueprints.
- Solid background with AC, DC, low voltage, and 480V equipment.
- Hands-on PLC experience (programming and troubleshooting preferred).
- Physical ability to climb ladders, operate aerial platforms, and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across plant and office teams.
- Basic computer proficiency and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work 2nd Shift (Monday - Friday, 2pm - 10pm) or 3rd shift (SundayThursday, 10pm6am), with overtime and weekends as needed.
- Initial training: First 120 days on 1st shift (MondayFriday, 6am2pm).
Education : Associates degree in Electro/Mechanical Technology or equivalent preferred; relevant work experience will be considered.
