Machine Operator 1st Shift Job Description This role requires a keen eye for detail and general mechanical aptitude. The position involves preparing and operating CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, turning, grinding, and milling. Responsibilities Prepare and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, turning, grinding, and milling. Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading engineering drawings and other specifications. Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines. Conduct a test run to ensure machines produce outputs according to specifications. Closely monitor the machines during task execution and make necessary adjustments for optimal results. Inspect and measure finished products to ensure compliance with requirements. Perform daily inspection and maintenance of machinery to ensure functionality. Essential Skills Machine operation and general production skills. Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform machine setup and changeovers. Experience in monitoring machines and performing quality checks. Ability to read and interpret mechanical/engineering documents and drawings. Good math skills and a results-driven approach. Good communication abilities. Additional Skills & Qualifications No CNC experience required, but operating and mechanical experience is essential. Previous experience as a machine operator and demonstrable mechanical aptitude. High school diploma or equivalent; a certificate or diploma from a CNC machining school or technical college is a plus. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Olive Branch, Mississippi. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $33280.00 - $52000.00/yr.
