Maintenance Mechanic**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be experienced in maintaining, installing, and repairing pumps, as well as preparing aged piping systems for fabrication and replacement. This role is vital to ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our plant operations.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform routine and preventative maintenance on various pumps, including centrifugal, diaphragm, and gear pumps.
+ Troubleshoot mechanical equipment failures and implement timely repairs.
+ Install and align new pumps and related piping systems according to safety and performance standards.
+ Prepare and modify old piping for fabrication, including cutting, grinding, cleaning, and layout assistance.
+ Assist in mechanical system upgrades and retrofitting projects.
+ Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repair histories.
+ Operate hand and power tools safely, including pipe cutters, grinders, welders, and torque wrenches.
+ Collaborate with engineering and production teams to plan efficient equipment downtime and repairs.
+ Adhere strictly to safety protocols, PPE requirements, and environmental regulations.
**Essential Skills**
+ 1+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
+ Experience working with pumps.
+ Pump installation and tear-downs.
+ Proficient in measuring and cutting old pipes.
+ Skilled in using hand tools and power tools.
**Job Type & Location**
This position based out of Mojave, California.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
