Welder and Fitter**

**Job Description**

The Welder and Fitter will be responsible for general welding and fitting duties, producing weldments for material equipment projects. The primary focus of this role is on welding and fitting, with additional responsibilities including fabrication, assembly, and painting of projects, as well as general repair and maintenance of shop equipment. The Welder will be required to maintain tolerances and dimensions specified by individual prints, and typically have 1-2 years of experience in the welding and fitting field.

**Responsibilities**

+ Perform general welding and fitting to produce weldments for material equipment projects.

+ Engage in fabrication, assembly, and painting of projects.

+ Conduct general repair and maintenance of shop equipment.

+ Maintain specified tolerances and dimensions as per blueprints.

+ Build high-quality welded parts from blueprints with a low rejection rate.

+ Produce parts from sheet metal, plate, bar stock, and aluminum using sketches and drawings.

**Essential Skills**

+ Proficiency in blueprint reading.

+ Experience with MIG welding.

**Work Environment**

The work environment includes both 1st shift (6am-2pm, Monday-Friday) and 2nd shift (2pm-10pm, Monday-Friday) positions, with training provided on the 1st shift. The 2nd shift consists of a small team of 4-5 people.

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $24.20 - $27.50/hr.
