Industrial Sewing Operator Job Description Join our dynamic team as an Industrial Sewing Operator where you will be primarily responsible for sewing filters used in industrial paint booths. This position requires precision and attention to detail to ensure that all products meet quality standards. Responsibilities Remove cut patterns from the cart and stack them on the sewing table. Assemble patterns and sew pockets as needed. Turn the bag right side out if required and inspect for defects. Place items on the conveyor for wire assembly if needed. Sew in stays as required, inspect for defects, and package into boxes. Keep records of quantities and time as required. Maintain equipment in good condition. Ensure the quality of the product. Essential Skills Experience in general labor and machine operation. Proficiency in sewing and using sewing machines. Ability to pack, assemble, and manage production tasks. Experience working with industrial machinery. Additional Skills & Qualifications Industrial experience required. Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. The plant houses various departments, including sewing, packaging, assembly, and CNC operations. You will work with sewing machines, bag lines, and occasionally assist in making blankets for our products. The work schedule is Monday to Thursday from 5am/5:30am to 4pm, with optional work on Fridays. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ottawa, Kansas. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.25 - $17.25/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
