Job Title: Construction Project Manager
Job Description
Lead, direct, and oversee the safe and effective daily operation of a single project or multiple projects with a cumulative value up to $50M. Establish project objectives and policies, maintain liaison with prime clients, and monitor construction and financial activities. Take action as needed to ensure project goals, objectives, and initiatives are met in alignment with the mission, vision, and values.
Responsibilities
- Learn and develop competency in all aspects of cost and control for job budget set-up and reporting, including the timely management of Accounts Payable/Receivable, change management, and fair and reasonable cost negotiations.
- Lead a single project to implement and maintain a clean and safe work site, motivating performance to exceed project requirements, quality control, and productivity.
- Collaborate with Project Engineer and Superintendent on high-level reporting of cost and profitability.
- Effectively build project schedules in P6 by collaborating with Project Superintendent on logic and durations.
- Manage schedule updates, material procurement, subcontractors, resources, project documentation, product data, shop drawing, submittals, and RFIs.
- Work with senior leadership to set clear and attainable goals for operations teams.
- Participate in training opportunities to increase technical and leadership competencies, mentoring direct reports and recruiting new qualified team members.
- Support the Preconstruction Manager to complete project planning and set up during the preconstruction phase, including constructability, site logistics, and estimating.
- Assist in developing schedules, scopes of work, subcontractor prequalification/bid solicitation, and scope reviews.
- Learn to identify and effectively manage owner expectations during the preconstruction phase.
- Develop competency in 3D BIM coordination process with the Virtual Construction Team.
- Promote and support good internal and external relationships throughout all divisions and departments.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- Experience in BIM coordination and scheduling.
- Familiarity with construction technology.
- Understanding of record-keeping principles and procedures.
- Knowledge of OSHA/Safety regulations.
Work Environment
The work environment includes both in-office and on-site locations. PM level 2-3 will manage one project, while Project Manager levels 4-5 may manage 2-3 smaller projects or 1-2 larger projects as needed. Projects are typically located between North Charlotte and nearby areas, which might require occasional longer commutes or overnight stays. The position is traditionally based in the Triangle area, but candidates local to other parts of the state who are open to travel are encouraged to apply.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
