The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $30 to $32 an hour at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.
Tasks and Qualifications:What You Will Do in This Role
As an Electro-Mechanical Technician 3, you will be at the forefront of maintaining and troubleshooting our advanced Material Handling Equipment (MHE). Your responsibilities will include:
- Repairing and maintaining MHE, including belt tracking, component adjustment/replacement, and lubrication.
- Completing preventative maintenance routines, documentation, and procedures, ensuring flawless operation.
- Applying electrical test equipment to troubleshoot and resolve electrical circuitry issues.
- Crafting and closing work orders in our asset management system, including labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used.
- Troubleshooting conveyance problems and determining the resources needed for resolution.
- Locating and tracking spare parts from inventory.
- Performing complex maintenance and equipment testing to ensure they meet strict specifications.
- Training customers to operate equipment successfully and safely.
- Responding to service calls and correcting equipment failures and faults.
- Identifying problems as they occur and taking appropriate steps to solve them.
What We Are Looking For
To excel in this role, you should have:
- High School diploma or equivalent experience; an associate's degree or vocational technical training is preferred. Specialized skill training/certification is a plus.
- Senior-level knowledge with 5-7 years of experience in a technical or specialty area.
- Proven experience in the responsibilities outlined above, showcasing outstanding skills and successful implementation of key tasks.
- The ability to engage with customers professionally and maintain clear communications through email and in-person conversations with onsite customer leadership, Dematic leadership, and technicians.
- Leadership skills to lead projects, teams, and direct day-to-day operations and tasks of the onsite maintenance team.
- Physical capability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds, bend, lift, stretch, and reach both below the waist and above the head.
- The ability to occasionally push and pull wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 100 pounds.
- Comfort with climbing ladders and gangways safely and without limitation.
- Must work in diverse conditions: tight spaces, dust, odors, hot/cold, noise, vibration, concrete standing, wet surfaces.
