Superintendent

Charles Taylor Safety Solutions is seeking a Superintendent for night shift project.

1099 Contract position.

Project details:

• 40-48 hours/week (M-F)
• 1-2 month turnaround
• New construction at a manufacturing facility, client specializes in installing MHE equipment.
• Candidate(s) must have an OSHA-30 with 7+ years' experience overseeing large commercial construction projects.
• At least 5 years of superintendent experience on large commercial construction projects.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate 1-2 subcontractors onsite at any given time.
• Ensure that daily operations run smoothly with a crew.
• Conduct and oversee testing and commissioning processes to ensure all systems are fully operational and meet project specifications.
• Maintain project schedule and ensure deadlines are met.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards.
• Monitor project budget and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
• Communicate regularly with the project owner, stakeholders, and team members to provide updates and address any issues.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Superintendent in industrial or heavy mechanical projects.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical equipment installation, electrical systems, and plumbing.
• Experience with testing and commissioning industrial equipment.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage subcontractors and small teams effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in construction and industrial settings.
