Overview
The Safety Manager is responsible for monitoring and assessing working conditions to ensure a safe and fully compliant work environment for all employees. The Safety Manager will work with the safety department to ensure compliance with CAL OSHA health and safety requirements.
Responsibilities
- Strategize and implement Occupational Health and Safety policies and programs
- Instruct and lead employees on various safety-related topics
- Plan/prepare educational training on safety programs and policies
- Review and upkeep of existing IIPP/Sub-programs
- Partner with Risk Management/HR on Workman Compesation injuries and incident reduction
- Manage and review current employee safety onboarding process
- Implement preventive measures based upon risk assessment findings
- Enroll and hire new safety employees
- Train, manage, and supervise safety staff
- Specify process bottlenecks and offer timely solutions
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis investigations, create reports accordingly
- Plan and present reports on accidents and violations
- Audit construction worksites across Southern California and Las Vegas
- Manage environmental programs to maintain compliance
- Facilitate safety initiatives and incentive programs
- Assemble and maintain relevant registers to ensure compliance
- Document meeting minutes, and reports collected for management
- Inspect main facilities (Corona, El Cajon, Las Vegas) for safety compliance
- Track incident metrics and apply outcomes
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Bi-lingual Spanish preferred (read and write proficiently)
- Must have Field Construction Safety Experience
- A bachelor's degree in environmental health and safety preferred or a related field experience
- Certificate in occupational health and safety (Construction and Gen Industry)
- OSHA 10, 30, 500, Certified Safety Manager or Professional a plus
- At least three years' experience as a safety manager or in a similar role
- Knowledge of legislation and procedures
- At least two years of experience in producing reports
- Experience with writing policies and techniques for health and safety
- Proficiency of conducting data analysis and reporting statistics
- Proficient In MS office, Excel, PPT

Salary Range- $110,000-$120,000
