Overview

The Safety Manager is responsible for monitoring and assessing working conditions to ensure a safe and fully compliant work environment for all employees. The Safety Manager will work with the safety department to ensure compliance with CAL OSHA health and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Strategize and implement Occupational Health and Safety policies and programs
  • Instruct and lead employees on various safety-related topics
  • Plan/prepare educational training on safety programs and policies
  • Review and upkeep of existing IIPP/Sub-programs
  • Partner with Risk Management/HR on Workman Compesation injuries and incident reduction
  • Manage and review current employee safety onboarding process
  • Implement preventive measures based upon risk assessment findings
  • Enroll and hire new safety employees
  • Train, manage, and supervise safety staff
  • Specify process bottlenecks and offer timely solutions
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis investigations, create reports accordingly
  • Plan and present reports on accidents and violations
  • Audit construction worksites across Southern California and Las Vegas
  • Manage environmental programs to maintain compliance
  • Facilitate safety initiatives and incentive programs
  • Assemble and maintain relevant registers to ensure compliance
  • Document meeting minutes, and reports collected for management
  • Inspect main facilities (Corona, El Cajon, Las Vegas) for safety compliance
  • Track incident metrics and apply outcomes

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bi-lingual Spanish preferred (read and write proficiently)
  • Must have Field Construction Safety Experience
  • A bachelor's degree in environmental health and safety preferred or a related field experience
  • Certificate in occupational health and safety (Construction and Gen Industry)
  • OSHA 10, 30, 500, Certified Safety Manager or Professional a plus
  • At least three years' experience as a safety manager or in a similar role
  • Knowledge of legislation and procedures
  • At least two years of experience in producing reports
  • Experience with writing policies and techniques for health and safety
  • Proficiency of conducting data analysis and reporting statistics
  • Proficient In MS office, Excel, PPT
  • Outstanding organizational skills

  • Management skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills

Salary Range- $110,000-$120,000
