Handyman / Estate Property Assistant

Location: Fort Lauderdale-Miami Area, South Florida ( Local Candidates Only ) Type: Full-Time, In-Person Client: Private ULHNWI Residence Max Tallent Management is seeking a reliable, discreet, and hands-on Handyman / Estate Property Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of a luxury private residence in the Miami-Fort Lauderdale area . The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with a background in home maintenance, facilities, or estate support, and is comfortable working in a high-end, pet-friendly environment. This role requires a can-do attitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to keeping the property in excellent condition at all times. Key Responsibilities General Maintenance & Repairs Perform hands-on repairs, installations, and basic maintenance (plumbing, electrical, HVAC filters, etc.) Patch drywall, paint, assemble furniture, maintain appliances, and troubleshoot property issues Oversee and maintain tools, equipment, and supplies Estate Grounds & Property Support Walk the grounds daily to inspect for damage, trash, or repair needs Maintain exterior areas: patios, gates, outdoor furniture, and light landscaping tasks Coordinate and supervise outside vendors (landscapers, pool techs, etc.) Household Operations Assist with setting up for events, moving furniture, deliveries, and household projects Maintain cleanliness and function of garages, storage areas, and utility spaces Handle errands, supply runs, and light handyman-related shopping Pet Support Must be pet-friendly and comfortable around dogs/cats Assist with pet-related tasks as needed (e.g., installing pet gates, walking areas, etc.) Qualifications Fluent English; Spanish is a plus 2+ years of experience in residential maintenance, handyman services, or property assistant roles Prior experience in a private estate, luxury home, or high-end environment is strongly preferred Proactive, dependable, discreet, and respectful of confidentiality Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain systems independently or with vendors Must be local to Fort Lauderdale-Miami and have a valid driver's license Tech-savvy with basic skills in communication apps, maintenance trackers, etc. Comfortable around dogs/cats and working in a pet-friendly home Able to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and perform physical tasks Willing to submit to background check and provide references
