The Plant Operator is responsible for monitoring, adjusting, maintaining, and repairing the boilers, chillers and all related support equipment for the central plant. The Plant Operator must also gain familiarity with other utilities and services such as emergency generators, HVAC systems and the fire protection system. The Plant Operator will act as the facilities point person when regular support staff and management are not on-site. EDUCATION: 2 Year Technical Degree or High School Diploma with 3 years equivalent experience. EXPERIENCE: A minimum of three years of qualifying plant operations or power plant experience. Experience equal to a 3rd class NIULPE Power Engineer, with the expectation of passing the NIULPE Class III exam within one year of employment.
