Building Inspector/Zoning Administrator

The City of Perryville is currently accepting applications for the position of Building Inspector / Zoning Administrator. This position is responsible for the administration and enforcement of the building, plumbing, electrical and mechanical codes, zoning ordinances, subdivision and flood plain regulations, as well as assisting the Public Works Department in project management.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate an ability to provide positive leadership in an operational environment while displaying and possessing strong organizational, interpersonal skills. The Building Inspector must be customer service oriented with a history of effective partnerships, responsiveness, problem solving, and conflict resolution. Preference may be given to candidates with a post-secondary education in a related field and/or or a degree in Construction Management, Computer Aided Drafting, Architectural Design or similar field or a comparable combination of education and experience.
