This Project Engineer role will concentrate primarily on our indoor and outdoor engineered netting product lines and is responsible and accountable for: Providing design solutions for custom manufactured products in the sports facility industrywith an emphasis on indoor and outdoor engineered netting products and field house project types. Use architect specifications and customer information as guides to produce detailed CAD assemblies of equipment layouts and prepare detailed drawings of custom product solutions for production and installation in the field. Support the project management team and serve as the technical point of contact to internal and external stakeholders on a subset of assigned specialty projects. • Design and develop sports netting & rigging systems for indoor and outdoor facilities using CAD software and engineering principles
• Serve as the technical design engineering resource on sports netting and rigging orders for internal project managers.
• Interface directly with internal departments and outside vendors to execute orders through the project design and production delivery cycles
• Work with Professional Engineering partners to ensure structural integrity of project designs.
• Organize and expand part & assembly libraries for sports netting and rigging product lines
• Collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, and outside vendors to initiate new part designs with detailed production drawings in 3D CAD-based software
• Collect and interpret data from architectural plans, customer sketches, and specifications
• Evaluate feasibility of design ideas, based on factors such as safety, appearance, function, serviceability, and production costs/methods
• Modify and refine designs to conform to customer specifications, production limitations, or customer revisions
• Enter, access, and retrieve data from company information system
• Generate project bills of materials (BOM) for internal product forecasting and finalize BOMs to release engineered products for internal manufacturing and outside vendor production

Marginal Responsibilities

• Provide input to Sales and Operations leads on new custom product developments or product continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist the sales and preconstruction team on select project opportunities as required

Skillsets

• Ability to read and understand architectural plans and specifications
• Ability to synthesize partial/conflicting information to provide viable solutions
• Ability to produce under pressure of timelines and customer demands
• Understanding of SolidWorks or other 3D CAD modeling software
• Understanding of Microsoft Office (Teams, Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Ability to perform tasks in company enterprise business systems
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and work independently on multiple projects simultaneously ensuring all key dates are met while maintaining the highest level of quality
