Job Title: Estimator – Civil Sitework Construction

Job Type: Full-Time Experience Level: Entry to Mid-Level (1–5 Years)

Job Description: We are seeking a motivated Estimator with a focus in civil sitework construction to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have 1–5 years of experience in construction estimating. Candidates with no formal estimating experience must have relevant field or project engineering experience on civil construction projects.

This role involves preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing project specifications, and collaborating with project managers and field staff to ensure competitive, well-supported bids.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze drawings, specifications, and related documents to prepare detailed cost estimates.

• Quantify materials, labor, and equipment needed for sitework and civil construction projects.

• Assist in developing and tracking budgets, bids, and proposals.

• Communicate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure accurate pricing.

• Participate in bid reviews and strategy meetings.

• Support transition from estimating to project execution teams.

Requirements:

• 1–5 years of estimating experience in civil construction.

• Strong analytical and math skills.

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and general estimating software.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with HCSS HeavyBid and/or HCSS HeavyJob is highly desirable.

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.

• Familiarity with excavation, earthwork, grading, underground utilities is highly desirable.
