Kelly Services has partnered with a leading manufacturing company, and is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor in Southwest Chicago, IL area.
The Maintenance Supervisor is r esponsible for leading and coordinating the maintenance activities. This role is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and continuous operation of all production equipment, with a particular emphasis on high-pressure filling lines, mechanical systems, electrical components, and compressed gas systems. The ideal candidate has a strong background in industrial maintenance, team leadership, and preventative maintenance systems in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the maintenance team, ensuring safety and minimal equipment downtime.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical systemsespecially on aerosol filling lines.
- Use CMMS (eMaint) to manage and track maintenance activities.
- Work with production to plan maintenance and reduce downtime.
- Help with new equipment installs, upgrades, and improvement projects.
- Train and support team members on technical and safety procedures.
- Perform audits and evaluate maintenance effectiveness.
- Maintain compressors, HVAC systems, and facility infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, safety, and environmental rules.
- Develop and run preventive maintenance programs.
- Keep accurate maintenance records using CMMS.
- Collaborate with Production, Quality, and EHS teams.
- Manage spare parts inventory.
- Handle emergency maintenance as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED (Associates or Bachelors preferred).
- Strong mechanical skills and attention to detail.
- Good time management and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with aerosol equipment, pneumatics, hydraulics, and basic electrical systems.
- PLC knowledge is a plus.
- Able to read blueprints and technical manuals.
- Comfortable using CMMS and Microsoft Office tools.
