Maintenance Dept Supervisor WANTED for Building Maint. Services Co.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance operations within our company. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of residential and commercial property maintenance. This role is crucial in ensuring that all equipment and systems are maintained efficiently, promoting a safe and productive environment for all landlords and tenants.

Duties

-Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the maintenance team, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
-Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
-Manage maintenance schedules, prioritizing tasks based on urgency and impact on operations.
-Oversee repairs and maintenance of property plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems, including high voltage and low voltage equipment.
-Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and repairs performed.
-Train and mentor maintenance staff in best practices for equipment care, safety protocols, and operational procedures.
-Collaborate with other departments, primarily the property manager, to ensure that maintenance needs are met without disrupting workflow.

Experience

-Proven experience in facilities management or a related field is required.
-Strong leadership skills with the ability to schedule, motivate and manage a team effectively.
-Familiarity with electrical systems, including high voltage, low voltage, logic controllers, and the use of an ohmmeter for diagnostics. -Plumbing, roofing and other building systems knowledge required.
-Experience in maintenance management practices, including scheduling, record keeping, and compliance with safety standards.
-Ability to read and interpret schematics related to electrical, HVAC systems and other blueprints.

Pay: $26.62 - $32.06 per hour
