A construction company in Escondido, CA is seeking a Project Accountant.

Job Duties:
Complete job set up.
Review owner contract and identify terms for the purpose of billing.
Review monthly subcontractor invoicing and communicate with Project Manager to prepare the monthly owner draw, bill on schedule, and in accordance with owner requirements.
Submit monthly draws and record in Sage 100, follow up on payment status, owner approval of draw and compliance issues.
Conduct monthly audits of all reimbursable costs & bill owner.
Process and track all general conditions and material purchases in Sage 100 and send to AP for payment, noting all NTE items and communicating with Project Manager on over budget items.
Verify compliance for all subcontractors prior to releasing payment, including joint checks to suppliers.
Manage preliminary notices, collecting releases according to owner/contract requirements.
Manage multiple clients and billing platforms.
Reconcile with the Project Manager all completed projects and verify that each project is billed as complete, including reimbursables.

Qualifications:
3-5 years Construction Accounting experience.
Proficiency in Excel (SOVs, Pivot Tables), MS Office, Outlook, and Teams.
Ability to adapt and learn various owner billing platforms.
Intermediate to advanced Sage 100 experience.
