Immediately Interviewing/Hiring Material Handler for 1st Shift with Manufacturer in Chester County, PA. $21/hr with Weekly Pay and Benefits Available.**
As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in managing the flow of materials within our facility. Your responsibilities will include verifying shipments, processing deliveries, and ensuring accurate documentation. You will be a key player in preparing materials for production and shipping, utilizing your expertise in handling equipment.
**Responsibilities**
+ Count, weigh, or measure incoming or outgoing items and compare against documentation such as bills of lading and invoices.
+ Pull and label parts accurately for shipment and production needs.
+ Examine incoming shipments for damage or shortages and complete necessary documentation.
+ Receive and issue vendor materials and process deliveries electronically into SAP.
+ Route materials to appropriate destinations such as inspection, storage, or production.
+ Cut raw steel materials according to specified requirements.
+ Verify and return parts from production orders or customer returns.
+ Package materials securely to prevent transit damage and enter shipping data into UPS/FED EX systems.
+ Operate sit down and stand up forklifts and overhead cranes to move materials safely.
**Essential Skills**
+ 1-2+ years of material handling experience.
+ 1-2+ years of experience with sit down and stand up forklifts.
+ Proficiency in using ERP systems, particularly SAP, and data entry in Excel.
+ Ability to operate an overhead crane - prior experience is a plus
+ Familiarity with machine shop tools and hand tools.
