Electrical Engineer 1

Chipton-Ross is seeking an Electrical Engineer 1 for a contract opportunity in Newport News, VABASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):Bachelor's degree and 2 years' experience OR Master's degree and 0 years' experience OR PDP apprentice certificate and 1 year of engineering experience. Newport News Shipbuilding requires a Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.Special Requirements:o Troubleshooting and repair Communication networks.o Provide technical support of communication networks.o Support the development of Communication networks.o Network design and implementationso Outside Plant and Inside Plant cabling.o Develop scope of work.PPE: Hardhat, safety glasses, and steel toes.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks. Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.REQUIRED EDUCATION:Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program is required. WORK HOURS:5/40 workweek. 7:30AM to 4PM.
