Mechanical Drafter

Actalent is hiring a MECHANICAL DRAFTER for one of our Aerospace clients located in Terrebonne, QC.

Description:

Interpret and convert legacy 2D hand-drawn technical drawings into accurate 3D models and 2D CAD drawings.

Use Autodesk Inventor to model parts and generate properly dimensioned and tolerance 2D drawings.

Read and interpret technical specifications and apply them to CAD work.

Work with stainless steel, bronze, and cast metal components (composites are less relevant).

Skills & Qualifications:

• DEC or DEP in mechanical or similar
• Minimum 23 years of CAD experience; must be able to work independently with minimal onboarding.
• Comfortable working with legacy documentation and converting it into modern CAD formats.
