Flux Core Welder Job Description As a Flux Core Welder, you will be responsible for welding, positioning, aligning, and fitting miscellaneous steel components according to drawings and blueprints, ensuring that they meet design specifications and quality standards. Responsibilities Weld flux core and/or hard wire, aligning and fitting steel components. Understand and apply basic and advanced weld symbols. Read and interpret basic drawings and blueprints. Operate and set up welding equipment proficiently. Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on welding equipment. Ensure quality checking of welds, identifying and performing corrective actions. Train lower level welders and conduct quality checks on welds. Essential Skills Proficiency in welding flux core and/or hard wire. Knowledge of basic and advanced weld symbols. Ability to read and understand basic drawings. Experience with welding equipment and their settings. D1.1 certification for flux core and hard wire (for higher levels). Ability to troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on welding equipment. Knowledge of heat affected area and its reaction to base metal. Additional Skills & Qualifications Basic fitting skills. Ability to weld multiple material types. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and basic metalworking machinery. Knowledge of shop machines and sand tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. Basic understanding of fabrication processes such as cutting, grinding, and drilling. 3+ years of experience in Flux Core welding. Why Work Here?
