Crater - 1st Shift Job Description We are seeking a skilled Crater for the 1st shift to join our team. This role requires experience in working with hand and power tools, in manufacturing or construction. You will handle packaging, kitting, and shipping duties, and be trained to operate a band saw. Experience in customer interaction is a plus. Responsibilities Build crates using hand tools and power tools. Enter shipping information into the computer system. Work independently to manage and run the shop in the production manager's absence. Engage with customers as needed. Assist with packaging and kitting processes. Operate machinery and potentially drive a box truck for facility runs after permanent hire. Essential Skills Proficiency with hand and power tools. Experience in a manufacturing or construction environment. Ability to use a computer for shipping purposes. Additional Skills & Qualifications Packaging and kitting experience. The role is contract-to-possible hire, with potential for building into a lead role. The production manager travels frequently, so you will be responsible for running the shop during their absence. You will work with wood products and be one of the primary people in the shop, responsible for most of the work. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Camp Hill, Pennsylvania. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
