Mack produces injection molded and machined products, and offers full contract assembly of numerous products, including in the medical products arena. Position is responsible for growing new business and identifying opportunities in future growth markets and upcoming technologies. This position would be a hybrid role with a base either near Inman, South Carolina or near Statesville, North Carolina.

The BDM identifies, qualifies and closes new business, selling all of Mack North's capabilities across a diverse range of industries. The BDM will leverage market research to identify target accounts and prospects, as well as follow up with consistent inbound lead traffic. In addition to setting up appointments to present Mack's capabilities and organizing visits to Mack's facilities, the business development manager is responsible for developing and submitting all quotes. Once a program is awarded, it is the responsibility of BDM to work with the assigned program manager to thoroughly transfer all program information and support the first stage gate review. Once complete, the BDM is tasked to focus on other pipeline growth.

Requirements include five or more years of experience in manufacturing sales and an engineering background with competency in plastics, metal and assembly. Candidate must be a self-starter, a disciplined home-office warrior who can successfully leverage the benefits of a field-based role to their, and Mack's, benefit, and will have proficiency in reviewing and understanding drawings, specifications and solutions. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have the strong organizational skills necessary to maintain a robust pipeline, as well as excellent communication and customer service skills. This includes the ability to listen to customer's needs, identify objections and present a solution, and maintain a rapport throughout the lengthy sales cycle of manufacturing services.
