• Fives Landis Corp - Gardner Abrasives is actively seeking a Facilities Maintenance Supervisor to join its team in South Beloit, Illinois.

Salary Range: $80,000 - $95,000 (salary offer is determined by experience)

At Gardner Abrasives we all have a part to play in achieving our common purpose. Your role will be to:

• Lead maintenance operations by overseeing the maintenance and repair of plant equipment, facility systems, and energy management technologies to ensure maximum uptime and operational reliability.
• Supervise and support Maintenance and IT staff by setting clear expectations, assigning tasks, and monitoring performance. Provide training and development opportunities to grow team capabilities.
• Implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs (Limble), manufacturer manuals, equipment analytics, and predictive tools to minimize downtime and extend asset life.
• Manage facility-related projects from start to finish, ensuring completion on time, within budget, and with minimal disruption to operations.
• Oversee and evaluate external contractors for specialized services or facility upgrades, ensuring quality and adherence to safety standards.
• Support the facility's safety initiatives in alignment with corporate goals. Maintain fire protection, disaster response systems, and liaison with state/local/insurance officials as needed.
• Maintain critical spare parts inventory to avoid extended downtimes due to long lead times.
• Develop and manage maintenance budgets, aligning short- and long-term plans with resource needs.
• Partner with other departments to ensure maintenance supports production and quality goals effectively.

At Gardner Abrasives and under the direction of the Operations Manager, you will join the Maintenance team.

We are seeking someone who has High School Diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary technical training preferred.Minimum 3 years experience in industrial facility maintenance, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisoryrole.Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, facility infrastructure, and preventative maintenanceprinciples.Experience managing budgets, projects, and cross-functional teams.Familiarity with safety regulations, fire codes, and environmental compliance.Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.Valid drivers license.then we are eager to change the world with you!
