Pipe Fitter Job Description As a Pipe Fitter, you will be responsible for fitting large pipes, specifically 8 inches and up. Your tasks will include performing saddle cuts, using a cutting torch, tape measure, beveler, tack welding, and reading blueprints. Responsibilities Fit large pipes, 8 inches and up. Perform saddle cuts and use a cutting torch. Measure accurately using a tape measure. Bevel and tack weld pipes. Read and interpret blueprints effectively. Essential Skills 3-5 years of experience as a pipe fitter in a manufacturing company. Ability to pass a written pipe fitter test. Must possess a blue book. Be prepared to work in both day and night shifts, starting at either 5 AM or 5 PM. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Houston, Texas. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $31.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
