A Tile and Stone Fabricator Helper supports skilled fabricators in the cutting, shaping, and finishing of stone, tile, and other hard surfaces used for countertops, flooring, walls, and custom installations. This entry-level role involves assisting with material handling, machine operation, shop maintenance, and preparation of finished products, ensuring smooth and efficient shop operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist Fabricators: Help skilled fabricators in measuring, cutting, grinding, and polishing tile and stone materials.
Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport stone slabs, tiles, and fabricated pieces around the shop and to job sites as needed.
Tool Operation: Use basic hand and power tools under supervision, such as grinders, polishers, and wet saws.
Surface Preparation: Clean, prep, and tape materials for finishing processes like sealing, edging, and polishing.
Cleaning and Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness of the shop, tools, and machines; assist in routine maintenance of equipment.
Safety Compliance: Follow all safety procedures for handling heavy materials and operating equipment; wear proper PPE at all times.
Inventory Assistance: Help with tracking and organizing raw materials and finished products.
Qualifications:
Prior experience in construction, stone, or tile work is a plus but not required.
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on feet for extended periods.
Basic understanding of hand and power tools.
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
Work Environment:
Shop-based work with exposure to dust, noise, and heavy materials.
May involve occasional outdoor or on-site work.

Monday to Friday 7:30am to 3:30pm
