Education & Training:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Experience:
Prior construction and maintenance experience required
Warehouse experience preferred
Requirements:
Dependable with strong attendance and stable work history
High attention to detail
Basic math skills
Strong reading, writing, and verbal communication skills
Physical ability to lift 20-40 pounds regularly
Good hand-eye coordination
Speed and accuracy in task execution
Organizational efficiency and thoroughness

Ability to stay focused and avoid distractions

Able to stand for long periods
Willingness to take initiative when short-staffed

Responsibilities:
General Building Maintenance:
Maintain service and repair logs
Painting, drywall repair, fixing/replacing door handles, locks, railings
Replace ceiling tiles, install door stops, and move office furniture
Upgrade stairwells and common areas
Perform light custodial tasks (e.g., window washing, carpet shampooing, floor waxing)
Electrical Maintenance:
Replace light bulbs and ballasts
Repair light switches and install electrical outlets
Maintain warehouse and showroom lighting
Install lighting fixtures in elevator areas and stairwells
Maintain supply inventory for electrical components
Clock & Battery Maintenance:
Monitor and reset clocks for time changes
Replace batteries and purchase new clocks when necessary
Plumbing Tasks:
Clean up spills and leaks
Unclog drains/toilets, reset or reseat toilets
Perform minor leak repairs
HVAC Support:
Schedule HVAC repairs and log maintenance
Replace filters, fuses, batteries, and clean air vents
Maintain thermostats and monitor unit conditions
Elevator Oversight:
Schedule maintenance as needed
Maintain a log to forecast repairs
Warehouse Duties:
Clean floors, remove rubber debris
Organize boxes and maintain orderliness
Identify floor repair needs and operate floor scrubbers
Purchasing & Inventory:
Buy and restock equipment/supplies (e.g., door mats, tools, shop vacs, absorbents)
Maintain tools and general inventory
Safety Compliance:
Serve as Safety Officer
Lead Safety Committee meetings and trainings
Handle OSHA reports, incident reports, and forklift certifications
Maintain MSDS and safety manuals
Sustainability & Recycling:
Collaborate with leadership to implement recycling programs
Ensure proper bins, signage, and training
Reduce garbage pickup through better resource management
Supply Distribution:
Unload and organize incoming supplies
Distribute paper goods, water, and kitchen items
Keep storage areas neat and organized
Vendor Coordination:
Meet with service vendors and maintain maintenance files
Manage basic purchasing and procurement
Equipment Maintenance:
Maintain forklifts, battery stations, racking, shelving, and emergency exits
Repair or coordinate repair of warehouse equipment
Exterior Maintenance:
Clear ice and snow
Coordinate sprinkler and landscape service
Maintain outdoor garbage, parking lot cleanliness, and striping
Address roof and skylight issues, signage, and flagpole maintenance
Security Systems:
Monitor security cameras and contact vendors for maintenance
Ensure cameras have clear and unobstructed views
