Energy Solutions Mechanical Design Engineer - CAD Specialist!

The Role:

We're seeking a passionate and dedicated Energy Solutions Mechanical Design CAD Engineer who brings enthusiasm, creativity, and curiosity to the table. In this role, you will take ownership of developing parametric CAD models and partner with a cross-functional, global team to bring cutting-edge energy systems to life. What You'll Be Doing:

Develop parametric 3D models, engineering drawings, and packaging solutions using CREO and/or CATIA for energy storage components and systems.

Apply manufacturing process knowledge to design a variety of parts: welded structures, metal castings, plastics, rubber components, and high-current electrical interconnects.

Ensure drawing and model quality by considering functional intent, material properties, tolerance analysis, and quality control requirements.

Manage Bills of Materials (BOMs), version control, and part release workflows in PDM systems.

Create and maintain engineering release and engineering change documentation.

Collaborate with global cross-functional teams, clients, and partners to meet design, manufacturability, cost, and quality goals.

Lead and/or participate in regular design and drawing reviews, ensuring clear communication and continuous improvement.

Troubleshoot design challenges and propose effective countermeasures when needed.

What We're Looking For:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology.

3+ years of experience in parametric CAD modeling and drafting (CREO preferred).

Strong interest in CAD design and product development.

Experience with complex assemblies and manufacturing design practices.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

A mindset that embraces critical thinking, curiosity, and a can-do attitude.

What Sets You Apart:

Proficient in PLM Configuration tools like PTC Windchill for managing product data and change control.

Background in material handling, automotive, or heavy equipment design.

High level of interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with cross-cultural teams.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Adaptable and flexible in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Where and When You'll Work:

This is an in-person role located at our Rochester, New York office-ideal for those who thrive in a hands-on, team-oriented environment.

What Your Total Compensation & Benefits Package will look like:

Salary

- $106,100 - $124,700 per year. Compensation depends on the selected candidate's education and experience.

Relocation:

This role may be eligible for relocation assistance.
