We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Mechanical Estimator to join our team. The ideal person will have an integral role in the construction process by providing accurate estimates and working with the project management team to ensure that projects are complete within budget.
Job Requirements:
5+ years of experience in HVAC purchasing or estimating.
Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects.
Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documents to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
Collaborate with project managers to develop budgets and ensure adherence to financial constraints.
Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and gather necessary data for accurate estimating.
Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best pricing for materials and services.
Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle of the project to ensure compliance with budgetary guidelines.
Provide support in the preparation of bids and proposals for potential projects.
5+ years of HVAC purchasing/estimating experience
Familiarity with CAD/Drafting (a plus)
Strong communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Highly organized with a strong attention to detail
