Position Summary:

The Lead Shower Door Installer is responsible for installing framed, semi-frameless, and frameless glass shower enclosures in residential settings with a high level of accuracy and quality. This position serves as a technical expert and mentor to junior installers, ensures jobs are completed to company standards, and represents Binswanger Glass professionally in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately install all types of residential shower enclosures per customer specifications and project plans.
Lead a small crew of installers on-site, providing direction, support, and quality control.
Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and measure sheets; verify job materials and hardware.
Ensure all tools, equipment, and glass products are transported, handled, and installed safely and efficiently.
Maintain a clean and professional work environment during and after installation.
Serve as point of contact for customers during installation, providing excellent communication and problem-solving.
Document job completion via Salesforce (or other platforms as directed), including photos and customer sign-off.
Train and mentor new or junior installers in proper techniques, safety protocols, and job site conduct.
Identify and escalate job site issues, measurement conflicts, or customer concerns in a timely manner.
Participate in safety meetings and adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in residential glass installation, with a focus on shower enclosures.
Experience leading installation crews or training junior employees strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of glass handling, fabrication tolerances, and layout best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to read and interpret tape measures, job specs, and drawings accurately.
Must be comfortable using power tools, glass installation tools, and lifting heavy panels of glass with appropriate equipment.
Clean driving record and ability to pass background check and drug screening.
Familiarity with CRM or job tracking software (e.g., Salesforce) a plus.
High school diploma or GED required; technical training a plus.

Work Environment:

Full-time, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime as required.
Majority of work is conducted at customer homes throughout the greater Kansas City metro area.
Requires frequent standing, lifting, bending, and use of hands/tools.
