Assistant Project Manager
Job Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Estimator / Project Manager in the Door Division located in Neptune, NJ. The role involves day-to-day tasks such as customer service, take-off and estimating projects, and project management. The manager will play a crucial role in coordinating and managing projects from start to finish.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service.
  • Conduct take-offs and estimates for projects.
  • Manage projects from start to completion.
  • Coordinate with team members and other departments.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in cost management, budgeting, and project estimation.
  • Expertise in door, frame, and hardware estimating.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Experience in the commercial door industry.
  • Knowledge of commercial doors, frames, and hardware.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Background in construction sales or hands-on construction experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office for filing and organizing project files.
  • Comfortable reaching out to customers via phone.
  • Experience in construction management, bidding, and blueprint reading.
  • Familiarity with Request for Information (RFI) processes.
Work Environment

This position is based in a small office environment connected to a large warehouse. The work schedule is five days in the office with flexibility in hours, typically from 7am/8am to 4pm/5pm. You will have your own desk and office space. The company offers a family-owned atmosphere with benefits such as a 401k with 3% matching, one week of PTO, bonus opportunities for project managers, and flexibility with hours.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.44 - $31.25/hr.
