JOB DESCRIPTION

Hill International is seeking an Assistant Project Manager in San Antonio, Texas

Hill International is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to provide administrative, technical, and logistical support to the project manager and field teams. This person will act as a bridge between the field and office, ensuring smooth communication, document management, and adherence to project plans.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage and organize project communications (meetings, reports)

Coordinate schedules, budgets, and timelines

Support quality control and ensure compliance with contract requirements

Communicate with field teams, contractors, and stakeholders

Assist the Project Manager and potentially step in during their absence

Documentation Management: Maintaining and organizing project records, including drawings, specifications, reports, and submittals

Project Coordination: Coordinating schedules, budgets, and timelines for construction projects

Technical Support: Assisting with calculations, design reviews, and resolving technical issues

Budget and Cost Control: Tracking project costs, preparing budgets, and assisting with financial reports

Compliance: Ensuring adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and contractual requirements

Communication: Communicating project progress, updates, and issues to stakeholders

Administrative Support: Assisting with tasks like meeting coordination, report preparation, and office equipment maintenance

Quality Control: Ensuring compliance with quality standards and specifications

Change Order Management: Assisting with the review, analysis, and processing of change orders

Project Reports: Seek information and assist in the preparation of various stakeholder reports

Familiarity with construction means and methods, submittals, RFI's, and change orders

Familiarity with FTA standards

Previous experience with similar projects

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or related field

Must have a minimum of 5 - 7 years' experience in construction or engineering (roadway or transportation projects preferred)

Experience in COSA and/or TxDOT standards and documentation preferred

Proficiency in engineering and construction software
