Position Summary\:

This position is for a Project Engineer for LGUS Small Capital Group. The Project Engineer shall be responsible for the Project Execution covering all Engineering Phases from Proposal, Basic, Detail, Commissioning and Construction. As well as, preparation, extraction and checking of Detail drawings, as shown below and responsible for following but not limited to\:

Principle Responsibilities\:

  • Ensure design compliance with respective project specifications and codes.
  • Technical co-ordination with all disciplines related to engineering effort.
  • Define engineering tasks and deliverables to maintain compliance with PSM and Process Safety requirements.
  • Participate in Design Reviews as required.
  • Assist in preparation of material requisitions for piping commodities and piping mechanical specialty items.
  • Assist in preparation of RFQ, Bid evaluations & coordination with vendors.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, or computer-generated reports.
  • Responsible for multiple overlapping project and schedule with short durations and critical deadlines
  • Field and shop inspection trips required as dictated by project specific needs.
  • Reviews and checks design packages for conformance to project definition, design standards, codes, completeness, safety, and quality.
  • Coordinates approval of fabrication drawings and other construction submittals for conformance to engineering direction, specifications and makes design recommendations.
  • Has knowledge of engineering fields such as plant design, piping, process engineering, electrical and controls.
  • Makes technical decisions based on full awareness of viability, cost, impact to operating plant and system integration.
  • Maintains a thorough knowledge of Linde standards, guidelines, safety and operability best practices and industry standards.
  • Is innovative in developing, selecting, and implementing engineering techniques and solutions to solve difficult problems; anticipates problems and develops contingencies.
  • Provides technical and engineering support to Linde Small Capital Project Managers.
  • Qualifications\:

    Basic\:

    • BS in Engineering, BSME preferred.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in plant design.
    • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
    • Demonstrated ability to self-manage and prioritize work with minimal direction.
    • Knowledge of internal design guidelines and engineering standards including legacy Linde standards.
    • Knowledge, application, and specification of piping materials.
    • Excellent writing skills and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to meet scheduled deadlines.
    • Communicate effectively.

    Preferred\:

    • Knowledge of chemical plant operations.
    • Knowledge of design codes and standards, including ASME, ASTM, and ANSI.
    • Other ranges of experience shall be considered.
