OCI Architect

Title: OCI Architect
Location: Parsippany, NJ - Hybrid 3 days
Duration: 6-12+ Months

Key Responsibilities

• Architecture Leadership
  Design end-to-end OCI cloud architectures compute, network, storage, database, security, HA/DR, and multi-region setups
  Develop VPC/VCN diagrams, infrastructure components, and network strategy, including VPN bridging
• Cloud Migration & Optimization
  Define and execute migration strategies from on-prem or other clouds to OCI
  Re-architect applications for cloud-native operation and optimize workloads for performance, scalability, and cost
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  Apply IaC best practices using Terraform or Ansible to automate OCI provisioning and management
• Security & Compliance
  Implement robust security frameworks IAM, encryption, network segmentation, policy controls to meet enterprise/regulatory standards
• Technical Leadership & Collaboration
  Act as the OCI SME, mentoring cloud and developer teams, and representing OCI in pre-sales and governance discussions
  Engage with stakeholders to align technical solutions with business objectives and deliver clear migration roadmaps
• Monitoring & Continuous Improvement
  Deploy monitoring, logging, alerting solutions; conduct performance reviews and implement improvements
  Document architectures, produce operational runbooks, and support go-to-market materials ()

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor s or Master s degree in CS, IT, or related; equivalent experience accepted
• 10+ years in IT/cloud roles; 3 5+ years working directly with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
• Proven track record designing and implementing OCI environments: compute, storage, VCN, databases, Kubernetes
• Strong experience in IaC (Terraform/Ansible), DevOps (CI/CD), and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
• Deep understanding of cloud security and compliance frameworks (IAM, encryption, GDPR/HIPAA, etc.)
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with ability to present to both technical and non-technical audiences ()
  Preferred Certifications
  OCI Architect Professional (or Associate)
  Terraform Associate or relevant IaC certification
  Additional cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, etc.)
