The essential job responsibilities of the Foreman, Metal Shop are to train, direct, and supervise employees engaged in fabrication welding, forging, repair and installation of metal items, steel construction and transportation of heavy objects.

Qualifications

Qualification Requirements and Physical Working Conditions :

To perform the Foreman, Paint Shop role, you must:
-Have a High School Diploma or General Education Development (G.E.D.)

-Must have2-4 years journeyman level experience in Painting.

-Must successfully complete Assessment Center Exercises, level II within 6 months of entering into the job.

-Must have an occupationally significant combination of working job knowledge; ability to apply the techniques appropriate to the field of Painting.

-Must have an occupationally significant combination of ability to apply the techniques associated with painting ability, to communicate this knowledge and "know-how" to persons supervised; ability to demonstrate efficient technical "know-how" or work along with subordinates in difficult phases of the job; initiative and drive; and ability to maintain harmony in working relationships and among workers.

-Must have a valid Driver's license from state of residence.

Works inside and outside under fairly good conditions; subject to falls, electrical shock, climbing, balancing, bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, crawling and reaching while making field inspections.
